Steg is a curious program using steganography and cryptography techniques, through which it's possible to hide private or secret files inside images. Thus, with Steg you can send confidential information to anyone you want inside innocent photos or images, without anyone suspecting them.
Steg is free to download and use for free for life. To hide secret files, you can use any photo or image in compressed or uncompressed format such as JPEG, PNG, BMP or TIFF.
Once you've selected the image and opened it with Steg, it will be analyzed by the program in order to know how much space it gives you to hide your files. Then you can select the files (it's better if they're compressed), and Steg will take care of the rest.
NOTE: The Windows version of Steg only supports 32-bit systems. From the website, you can download Steg versions for Mac and Linux.
